Elder Nominees for 2025
Mike Freeze
My name is Mike Freeze. I was born and raised in Concord. I am the husband of Sandi and the father of Victor, Jaden, Jade, Sadie, and Hannah. We have been members of Mission since 2018.
I grew up in a small Baptist church and was saved when I was 9 years old. My faith and walk with the Lord is a very deep part of who I am.
It would be my honor to serve our church and Lord as an elder. As we mature in our faith and assume greater responsibilities as Christian men, I believe we should strive to serve our church and community by fulfilling God’s call in our lives.
Zachary Sizemore
My name is Zachary Sizemore. Karleigh and I have been at Mission Church since November of 2022.
I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord when I was 8 years old. It was 2006, however, it was not till early high school that I became serious about my faith and desired to truly walk with God.
I grew up in New Salem down 200 towards Monroe. Most all of my family is in Union County.
God calls us to be obedient when His Will wants us to serve. If it is in God's will that I am wanted to serve as elder by His people then I am happy to serve. I believe that God has given me strengths to use for His Glory and I am willing to use them in an elder role.
Jeff Crayton
My name is Jeff Crayton. I was saved as a young boy and never really remember my life without God in it. I have been married to my wife Ranae for 43 years. We have three wonderful children and five beautiful grandchildren. I've been in the construction business for over 45 years as a general contractor. We have been coming to Mission since 2002 and I have been a part of the praise band since day one. I have also served as a deacon. If it's the will of the church, I would be honored to serve as an elder. I see a lot of opportunities heading our way.
Caleb Cole
My name is Caleb Cole. I am originally born and raised in Asheboro, moved to Charlotte in 2007 and have been at Mission with my family, Meredith (wife), Noah (4 yrs old), for just about 4 years. Meredith and I met in college and have been married for almost 11 years. We moved to Locust in 2016 and were active in our previous church up until Covid where we felt God presenting an “Ebenezer” opportunity from where we were to find a new church home closer to our community.
I was very fortunate to be brought up in a Christ- centered household with both of my parents being active in church my entire life. I gave my life to Christ when I was 5 and continued my journey of understanding and exploring my faith over time. The environment and example my parents exemplified I feel was key in me choosing to lean into my faith while navigating difficulties and trials in my life, not shying away from seeking out God’s calling and who He has instructed me to be. I have a deep conviction that everyday I am created to honor him in all I do and try to take steps to continue to become a better Christ-like man and head of my family daily- and as with anyone, some days are better than others, and the desire to be better because of everything He has done for me never escapes me.
I am taking the step to be an elder to continue to be an example of God’s calling and direction for men in the church, and as an example to Noah on what that looks like as his father. I am recognizing this is an additional opportunity to steward what God has blessed me with and to continue to challenge my faith on engaging Christ and His Word at a deeper level. I also recognize that the experiences I’ve had so far have given me insight into the season Mission is in—and entering—as it grows not only in its building, but in its congregation and community, which my family and I look forward to being part of, regardless of title.
Danny Pyles
My name is Danny Pyles. I am Originally from Mississippi, moved to North Carolina in 2012. Married to Jessica Pyles for 13 years. Two children Isaac 8 and Ali 7. I am willing to serve as an elder at Mission Church because I believe we are all called to serve the Lord by sharing the Gospel and tending to the needs of the Lord's sheep.
